Field trips and other group programs at the Outdoor Adventure Center
GROUP VISITS (20 or more people)
Plan a day of adventure and fun. Groups of every age will be inspired by the richness of Michigan's natural resources.
General group information:
Fee: General admission for groups of 20 or more is $2 per person (both children and adults).
Lunch: There is a cafeteria area for groups to have lunch. Space is not reserved; we recommend that chaperones eat with their group of six as space allows. We have a limited number of carts to secure your bag lunches - no refrigeration or microwaves are available.
We offer customized group experiences for the following:
- Field trips (school groups, day camps)
- Scout badge workshops
- Afternoon Adventures for Adults
- Team-Building Adventures
For an additional $2 per student, an education session can be added to the field trip. These sessions take place in a classroom during the school year and outside during the summer. To view offerings, view Classroom experiences or Summer outdoor programs.
Education experiences align with NGSS.
Supervision: The building is best experienced in small groups. We require one adult chaperone to accompany every six children throughout the OAC. Children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Active and engaged supervision is required.
Grants may be available to cover transportation. Visit the sites to review eligibility:
