    Child Care Eligibility Expansion Handout

    Provider Rate Increases:

The fiscal year 2022 budget included funding for provider rate increases. Provider subsidy rate increases will be effective with pay period 122 (October 10, 2021 - October 23, 2021).

When Will I get my Rate Increase? Supplemental payments have now processed and will be issued the week of December 13 for pay period 125 (November 21, 2021 - December 4, 2021).

A letter with information about the rate increases has been mailed to all providers and families. You may review the  provider letter here and the parent letter here. You can view your Statement of Payment in I-billing for supplement details.

    Provider Rate Increases: Supplement

On December 10, 2021, regular CDC payroll ran for Pay Period 125 (November 21, 2021 - December 4, 2021).  This generated a Statement of Payments that can be found on IBilling.  On December 11, 2021, the Department implemented the FY22 rate increases for child care providers.  This supplement included any billings received by the Department starting with PP 122 (October 10, 2021 - October 23, 2021) and ending with PP 125.

This Statement of Payments for the supplemental payments can also be found on IBilling.

Some providers received an "unable to process" error message. The technology team has identified the problem and are working on a fix. Providers will not need to rebill.

Family Contribution Amounts Waived - beginning November 7, 2021:

Family contribution (FC) amounts will be temporarily waived for all children, regardless of their provider assignment.   This change will be in effect November 7, 2021 (pay period 124), through September 24, 2022 (pay period 220).

  • Notice of Temporary Financial Relief Extended for Child Care Providers

Effective with pay period 122 (October 10, 2021 to October 23, 2021), child care providers accepting the subsidy will bill the state based on enrollment and not attendance.  The Guidance for Temporary Billing Based on Enrollment and not Attendance memo explains how to bill in the manner.  This policy will be in effect through September 30, 2023.

  • COVID ABSENCE HOURS: Providers can call the CDC program office to request a billing exception for absence hours that go beyond 10 consecutive days for COVID program closures or child absences due to COVID. Providers will be asked to verify specific dates along with the children impacted (including child ID) when they call 866-990-3227 to request the absence hour billing exception. Effective March 28th until further notice.
