All automotive collision repair facilities must comply with federal and state environmental regulations pertaining to air quality, water quality, and solid, liquid, and hazardous wastes.
FEDERAL AIR TOXICS STANDARD
On January 9, 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published a final rule affecting all automotive collision repair facilities across the country. The rule contains enclosure, type and cleaning of spray guns, training, notification, and recordkeeping provisions.
